Get To Know Me

Biography

I am native of Western Massachusetts and now live in New London, New Hampshire after graduating from Colby-Sawyer College in 2022. Up to that point, I had worked in the service industry while in school and was about to do it again for that summer. Instead, I took a risk, quit my job and launched Maxfield Productions. Since then, I have become a well-known photographer and director in the area.

Work

As I will say to anyone that asks, my work is "love" in a visual form. I love what I do and therefore all of my work from short films to sports highlights to family portraits to weddings and everything in between get my full attention and love. That love shines through in all of my work.

My Story:

I first began photography in high school. My uncle, a professional photographer, helped me pick out my first camera. I took both digital and film classes and loved them. I had a wonderful teacher who showed me the beauty of this art. But then I let it all go. I pursued a dream of playing soccer professionally and almost everything else in my life went out the window. I got recruited to play in college and I felt like I was on the path to achieve my dream. Unfortunately (or so I thought at the time), things did not go exactly to plan. After a couple less than healthy relationships, my confidence and belief in myself was at an all time low. In the dead of winter with no where else to turn, I picked up my camera again for the first time in years and began to take self-portraits. In the midst of COVID, I was one of the only human subjects I could find and so I took photo after photo of myself. It was only after a couple months that I realized what I was doing; I was healing through photography. I had always hated how I looked in photos and in life. But the control that I had over my own camera allowed me to fan the embers of my self-confidence.
A year later, in 2022, I graduated college in May. The very next month I launched Maxfield Productions. What had begun as a healing mechanism had continued in the same vein for that's what my business was; Healing. I had recently been criticized by someone who meant a lot to me for a great many things but the one that stuck with me the most was that I "never took any risks". So, largely driven by spite, I decided to not work in food for the 8th summer in a row and instead began this business. And thank god I did.
In the time since, photography at its core still serves that same purpose for me. It still heals me; It stills saves me.  I am overwhelmed by the privilege I have of loving what I do with my life. Photography is deeply personal to me whether I am shooting for someone I've known my entire life, someone I just met, or for myself.
My work is "love" in a visual medium. This started with a lack of love and grew because of love. It makes sense to carry on in the same fashion. Enjoy.
